3/25/12 Streets of St. Petersburg - After a mechanical brake failure nearly destroyed the No. 33 car while battling Cooper for 2nd place in race 1,
Touring Car polesitter Tristan Herbert, of Reston, Va., wound up third in class in the No. 33 Brimtek/GermanAutoParts.com Volkswagen GLI Jetta in race 2.
4/29/12 Redeeming a hard luck weekend with a run from the rear of the field to the checkered flag, Tristan Herbert, of Reston, Va., took an overall and Touring Car class win on Sunday at Miller Motorsports Park.
Herbert picked off the field one-by-one, and took the checkered flag by 4.360 seconds, averaging 78.338 mph over the 24-lap, 52.8-mile race on the track’s 2.2-mile West Course configuration.
10/27/11 Tristan Herbert captures the World Challenge Touring Car Rookie of the Year award as well as the Touring Car Crew of the Year award for their stellar season in 2011.
An impressive 4th place overall in the championship with one win, two seconds, two thirds and a fourth place, earned Herbert the
2011 Pirelli World Challenge Touring Car Rookie of the Year award.
3/27/11 Tristan Herbert captures the World Challenge Touring Car class victory, on the street course as part of the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg.
Starting third, Tristan and Chip Herr, driving the No. 07 Grid 1 Motorsports Mazda RX-8, moved past polesitter Lawson Aschenbach at the standing start. Herbert moved past Herr on the third lap and onto the point, building a lead through the caution period. Herbert recovered from an incidental wave by and one lap penalty to move past Herr on lap 22, and then held off a charging Aschenbach’s No. 71 Compass360 Honda Civic Si to the checkered flag.
3/11/11 Tristan Herbert takes the World Challenge GTI our for a spin at VIR.
We had a great weekend sorting out the #33 GTI at VIR this past weekend. We ran into some not so great issues involving a shattered clutch pressure plate that had to be replaced but all in all a great weekend and we had fun dicing it out with some mustangs!
